It seems like everywhere you turn, there’s a trendy diet or new food fad that has taken over food conversations. I mean, we’ve even created a new series over on Foodinsight.org called Try It Tuesday, where we try new foods/diets and write about these sometimes less-than-ideal experiences on … you guessed it … Tuesdays.
While these diets and food fads are fun to dabble in for a week, a few days, or even a few hours, what is more interesting is that a variety of science-based, long-term diets are available that sometimes aren’t getting the love and attention they deserve. One of my personal favorites? The Mediterranean Diet!
Whenever I hear the word “Mediterranean” I immediately am transported to clear blue waters, craggy cliffs, and remarkable culture. Additionally, I begin to think of all the amazing food that is both tasty and nutritious, which led to the creation of our latest article on Elite Daily.
